About Us

Cast wagyu is a family run operation in Southeast Nebraska. Dustin, Amber, and Logan are the founders of Cast Wagyu along with help from their parents, Doug and Pam. Farming and raising cattle has been in our family's blood for as long as anyone can remember. Dustin has been working on the farm his entire life and continues to work here full-time. Amber has moved to Kansas City to pursue a career in marketing, which is a huge attribute in making our business run smoothly. Logan attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and looks forward to returning home to work on the family farm and continue to improve the genetics of our cattle herd and the beef that we produce. 

Cattle have roamed our fields and pastures for many generations, but we are the first to bring wagyu genetics to our land. Our dream was formed in 2019 when we decided we wanted to do something a little bit different than everyone else. We knew we wanted to continue working in the beef industry, but we wanted to connect to the consumer more, and follow our cattle all the way to their endpoint. We brought in wagyu genetics to help us with the goal of producing a beef product that would make our business known. Our mission is to provide an extremely high quality product to our customers at a more affordable price so that everyone can experience the joy of biting in to a piece of wagyu beef. 

Our cattle are a cross between fullblood Wagyu and commercial angus cows. We are still raising commercial beef cattle as well, but we only sell beef from our American Wagyu cattle. We hand pick our steers and heifers that we would like to feed to make sure that we are providing superior beef to our customer. It is extremely important to us to beat the industry standards for beef quality, and feel that we do so with every animal we produce. 

Our cattle are raised completely free of added hormones, and we are USDA certified. We want you to have the piece of mind that all of our beef is Source Verified from right here on our farm and that we see, feed, and care for all of our animals daily. Our focus is to provide a high quality product directly to the consumer by handling our cattle and meat in a low stress environment to ensure our farm maintains the BQA certified standards .
