Why Wagyu?
Wagyu cattle originated in Japan as draft animals. Because of their heavy work load their bodies adapted to store energy as intramuscular fat in their muscles. We as beef enthusiasts know this intramuscular fat as marbling. There is a much higher percentage of marbling in the meat from wagyu beef than the industry standard. This is what enables us to package beautiful steaks like this one. At Cast Wagyu, we combine these traits from wagyu genetics with the production potential of commercial angus cattle to provide our customers a top notch eating experience at an an affordable price.

It has become very apparent in the recent times that the customer wants to know where their food is coming from. Over time, consumers have become very disconnected from their food supply, especially in urban areas. At Cast Wagyu, we want to cut out the middle man and reconnect you, our customer, with the heritage of the beef you are eating. When you purchase from us you can rest assured that the beef is being raised right here in Southeast Nebraska, and the animals never leave our farm prior to harvesting. Our family is passionate about raising cattle, and sharing that experience with you on your table.
